I posted a video in the members Facebook group but here is the summation of it in print….
We are doing several different exciting things….
1) The lifting that we are doing is designed to create more muscle growth and tone. Girls you will not get bulky, you’ll get the lines that you want. Guys, you will add the muscle that you’re looking to get. It’ll be a lot of fun and different from what we’ve done in the past!
2) We are taking 1 day a week to go in depth into a skill. We don’t be lifting that day but rather really working on nuances of a movement, or breathing, or gymnastics skill, anything that we feel like you need to work on. It’s basically a mini clinic on that aspect of training. If you have something you’d like to focus on, let us know!
3) We are splitting programming into three different tracks; Competitive, Performance, Fitness
Each one of these tracks are slightly different or scaled etc. For example, the competitive may have 225lb cleans in the workout for the men, the performance track will have cleans scaled as needed, and the fitness track will have front squats. This is just an example.
Depending on what you’re feeling that day, you’ll be able to self select.
Our goal is to meet you where you’re at, and give you the response you need based off of your goals. Some of you will never have no interest in doing a snatch, and that’s totally ok, and you shouldn’t lose 20 mins of class time because that’s not your cup of tea. It’s totally cool with us and won’t negatively impact your fitness if you never do snatch again. Again, this is an example but I think it’s pretty common among many of our folks.
