Is there anything more difficult? Showing up day after day, putting in the grind, doing the hard work, being consistent.
Sometimes just continuing to show up is the hardest part. With fitness, the progress is immediately noticeable. Yes you feel better when you finish a workout, but the next time it’s time for you to go, there are a million other things that take precedent. The reason for this is because working on your fitness hurts. It’s difficult. It’s hard to decide to continue day in and day out. The results are so minute that you never see them on yourself. People you run into tell you, you look different but you don’t feel like it’s changed much.
One of the best things you can do to help you hang in there is reassessments. We do our best to provide you that opportunity. Get your measurements, re do your pictures, re do your baseline. That way you have tangible proof you’ve progressed. When you put in the work, put in the testing to see your results. They aren’t always immediately noticeable by you, so it’s critically important for you to participate in order to keep you motivated. When you see your results, it makes it easier to keep going.
In the mean time, keep at it. Do the things you’re supposed to be doing. Be consistent. Hang in there!
