Comparison is the greatest thief of joy.
I’m not sure who said this, but it’s very true in most cases. When we compare ourselves to others, for most people it becomes a negative thing. It’s usually followed with, ‘why can’t I be more like that,’ or ‘I’m terrible because I can’t do x,y,z like so and so.’ These thoughts are by their vary nature down grading yourself and diminishing what you are doing.
