I ask a question in our consult, and the question is this….
On a scale of 1-10, 1 being not at all, 10 being all in where are you at on achieving your goals?
Most people say between an 8 and a 10. Obviously we want to get them to a 10, but we’re happy with an 8.
What I find is, many people even though they SAY they are an 8, 9, or 10, their actions put them in a 1, 2, or 3 category. Not even a 5, but a 1-3.
So my question is this….
Take stock in what you’re doing right now. How committed are you to achieving your goals? 1-10? Then if you’re anything other then an 8, 9, or 10 ask yourself, ‘What would it take to get me to a 10?’ Then whatever that answer is, do it!
Because, anything under an 8 you should really consider what the reasoning is behind that number. More importantly, why are you here? What’s your why? If you’re lower then an 8, let’s get that moved up. Let’s get you to a 10. Let’s get you moving in the right direction.
Lastly, if you said you’re at an 8,9, or 10, are your actions consistent with that? If they aren’t, let’s fix the actions. If we say we’re at a 8, 9, or 10, then let’s make that truth. Let’s not pay lip service to it, let’s make it a reality.
