I’m not sure if you know this or not, but Sarah and Anthony have been interning with us now for several months.
These guys are busting their tail and putting in the hours on the floor. They are like sponges absorbing every bit of information we give them during classes. Also, while they are on the floor they are in learning mode, so they are required to spend a certain amount of time in the class asking questions and observing what our coaches are doing in order to learn in the trenches, or what we call OTJ (on the job) training.
More importantly then that is the work they are putting in off the floor. What you may not know is that part of the internship process is a very rigorous training curriculum. These guys have several text books they are working from on each movement the reading alone is several hours a week, and every week we meet in a 90 minute training session, where I test, and drill them to make sure they are highly proficient in the movements. We do not put coaches on the floor that aren’t very proficient at their craft, and we have specific processes and procedures in place that work on in order to create a consistent customer experience as well as consistent results for you. We typically won’t hire someone off the street even if they have a college degree, certifications, and experience, before they spend quite a bit of time with me learning our processes, so that we know they are proficient in our methods of training.
With all that, Sarah and Anthony are doing phenomenal. They are learning and executing, and more importantly helping us change lives, so please take a second and tell them what a great job they are doing, because I’m so proud of what they’ve accomplished so far, and I’m so excited to have them as part of our team!
In fact we’ve decided to hire Sarah full time, so you’ll see much more of her in the near future, and when Anthony finishes college, I’m certain we will have a role for him as well.
I’m so glad they are here, and so happy to be able to speak so highly of them. Keep up the great work!
