4-26-16…Celebrating the Small Goals…

In the boot camp we talk about celebrating small goals all the time.  There are a couple of different reasons why this is important.

1) If we continue to achieve small goals then we will make huge strides towards our large goals.

2) It can be extremely daunting when we only look at the end goal and it seems so far away from where you actually are.  Many times this can be overwhelming and discouraging.

3) Many times when you accomplish and celebrate small wins, it makes it easier to continue your progress.  It keeps you excited and engaged and happy that you are making progress.

Here’s what we celebrated recently with one of our members….

One of our members recently told me that for the first time, she wore a skirt to work without wearing shorts under it.  She followed it up with, ‘that’s what pretty girls do.’  I was so moved because it seems like such a small thing, but for her it was the world.  It made her feel beautiful.  Of course, I proceeded to tell her she’s beautiful and after some tears we celebrated her win.

These things make me so happy.  It’s so important to celebrate the small wins, and those small wins are what we at CFB live for.  So take pride in the small goals, celebrate them, share them.  We are so proud of what you’re accomplishing!
