4-30-19… How To Change Your Life…

Yesterday I spoke about transformation.  While transformation is controlled by a decision ultimately that decision and the commitment that follows is controlled by your mind.

You see whatever controls your mind controls your life.  Renewing your mind is key to transformation in every area.  Thoughts control beliefs, beliefs control behaviors, and behaviors control outcomes.  Your thoughts can transform you or halt transformation.

Thinking patterns are literally grooves formed in your brain. It took time to build those grooves, so many times our thoughts are extremely hard to change.  Some of those grooves have been there since birth.  The more you think a thought the more the brain will adapt and form new grooves around that thought.  THIS TAKES TIME.  Too often, we get frustrated early, fall back into those faulty thought patterns and then give up.

Consistency is key, and continual renewing of your mind is critical.  Stop the thoughts that don’t line up with your desired outcomes, and intentionally change them with thoughts that do line up.  This will change your thought patterns over time, which in turn will change your behaviors, and eventually transform where you are.

The great Zig Ziglar once said, ‘You are what you are and where you are because of what has gone into your mind. You can change what you are and where you are by changing what goes into your mind.’
