6-16-20… Stop Stopping…

I’ve been reading a book called Straight Line Leadership by Dusan Djukich.  It’s an awesome book.  One of his points that I read recently is in order to maximize results you have to stop stopping.

It seems kind of common sense, but when you really think about it’s something that plagues all of us.  We get inspired and start something, and then inevitably, something comes up and we stop doing the thing that got us the success we first achieved.

Does this sound familiar?  Have you ever done this?

‘People of mediocre ability sometimes achieve outstanding success because they don’t know when to quit.’

– George Allen

According to Djukich there is an extremely effective formula to achieve desired outcomes that goes like this…

1) Decide what you intent to accomplish.

2) Define exactly what actions it will take from you to achieve the outcome.

3) Decide if you are willing to pay the price. (If you’re not willing to pay the price to get whatever you want, you’re just going to get frustrated.)

4) Monitor the results of your actions and make corrections when needed.

5) Continue to take the required actions and DO NOT STOP until your outcome is realized.

It really is that simple of a concept, but executing is the hard part.

What can you do today to move you towards the right path?

Start with step 1 and stop stopping until you get there!
