7-13-16… #thestruggleisreal

Hey everyone!  So glad to be back.  For the past week or so I’ve been traveling for work.  We’ve been working on improving the gym and improving ourselves as well.  Krystal and I went to a CrossFit Level 2 certification which was awesome, and we also visited several other gyms while in Dallas.

All that being said, I kind of treated it like I was on vacation.  You know the drill…. you’re on vacation and calories don’t count, and working out is something you packed clothes for but opted to eat gluten free pizza instead… am I right?

Yeah that was me.  I spent the week with a lot of sitting, a lot of travel and a lot of crappy food.  I remained gluten free but I’m pretty sure I had chocolate or ice cream every day.  I ate pizza at least 3 different days, and had my fair share of other really crappy food.  Couple that with no working out and I gained 10lbs this week.

Now I know we don’t stress out about the scale, but holy crap it’s easy to fall off the wagon.

Let me just tell you, I did Kelly today and it kicked my butt, half of the gym beat me.  My performance was really killing me today and I felt really out shape.

It’ll come back quick but the key is knowing that the choices I made, created the situation, now I have to make choices again to get back on the wagon.  The struggle is real, and I get it…..

It’s ok to take breaks some times, but you gotta get back on track as soon as you can.  That way you can dial it in and keep on progressing!
