I took a hiatus for a few days. I spent some time with family, and honestly just needed a break for a minute. That being said, I’ve posted this before, but I thought it would be a good time to repost it. It’s speaks good things to me, and sometimes it’s best to go back and reflect. Without further adieu….
I saw this Facebook post the other day and thought it was really relevant to our recent discussion. This is what the post said…
Food for thought:
If you take a piece of rotten fruit and place it beside a perfectly good fruit… what happens?
The mold from the rotten fruit spreads over to the good fruit and both end up in bad condition.
So what happens when you surround yourself with people who don’t build you up?
Well…. You become just like them…
Whether you believe in the bible or not there is also sage wisdom there about this topic:
1 Corinthians 15:33
‘Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.’
Proverbs 13:20
‘Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.’
Who are you surrounding yourself with? Who’s in your circle? Are they building you up or causing you to rot and mold? Tough call sometimes to remove those people from your life or at least limit their exposure but sometimes it has to be done.
**PS: If you need someone on your side for exercise and accountability, now is the time to bring your tribe! It’s bring a friend day Thursday and this is your opportunity to bring your buddies to come check this place out. Having a support system in and outside the gym is critically important and extremely helpful when you bring people from your circle with you.
***PPS: We are about to roll out a 6 week program that will rock your socks off and put you in a group that will absolutely support you and see you be successful.
