2-13-18… What LivLimitless Means For You….

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about our rebrand and what it means for the current members etc. so I thought I’d take some time and talk about what we are doing and how it will effect you.

FAQ’s

Are we not a CrossFit affiliate anymore?

The answer is we are still a CrossFit affiliate.  All that means is that we pay $2,000 a year to use the name CrossFit.  What most people don’t know or understand about CrossFit is that the only thing that makes you a CrossFit affiliate is the fact that you’ve been through a $1,000 weekend seminar and you pay a $3,000 a year fee to use the name.  They have no say in what you do as an affiliate, and no feedback into anything.  Which results in every CrossFit gym being different, some great, and some terrible.

This is one of the reasons that we are branding away from CrossFit.  There is a stigma out there associated with CrossFit.  Ask any orthopedic surgeon and they’ll instantly say, oh don’t do CrossFit, you’ll get hurt.  Ask most doctors or anyone who’s heard of CrossFit and there is a stigma of injury or hardcore go until you puke.

This is due to the lack of education of many of the CrossFit gym owners.  They go through a weekend seminar, they pay the fees and now they open a gym.

This is NOT US.

I have a Master’s Degree with a specialization in Athletic Training (Sports Medicine) and have worked with several Division 1 Football programs including the University of Oklahoma and Texas A and M.  I have worked with and trained some of the best athletes in the world.  Our program has produced some of the best athletes in the world including a 10th place finish at the CrossFit Games, as well as several US Military special forces qualifiers including, Green Berets, Air Force Para-rescue, and Navy SEALS.

Of course all those things are great, but what we pride ourselves most in is taking the type of people who are very out of shape, over weight, have never worked out before, are sick of being where they are at and ready to learn and make a lifestyle change and then empowering them to do that.

We’ve had several 100+ pound weight losses, and have helped 1,000’s of people reach their goals.

Will my program change?

Just in case you didn’t know, most CrossFit programs are based around hitting a ‘WOD,’ workout of the day for 20 minutes or less, and then going home.  This may work for a little while with a novice or beginner person but eventually you will stagnate in your progress if you do not continue with some sort of progression. We at LivLimitless are a Strength AND Conditioning program.  What that means is that we work on all aspects of training not just conditioning.  Most of our clients want to look better, and feel better.  This requires improvements in strength, body composition (fat loss and increased muscle which results in fat loss as well), and conditioning.  More cardio will not solve your issues.  More sit ups will not flatten your belly.  You need a strength and conditioning program that is based off of sound exercise physiology.

That is what we provide.  It’s what we’ve always provided.  The programming that you receive here is above and beyond most CrossFit gyms and on a higher level then most personal trainers.  I’ve been doing programming like this for 18 years, and have produced over 2,0000 results for people.  What we do works.  Which is another reason why we are branding away from CrossFit.  We are not some run of the mill CrossFit gym, our program and our processes produce guaranteed results.  What we are doing will not go away, and will continue to progress and become better since we are constantly striving to improve.

Will the coaching certifications change?

Most gyms in the area require a weekend seminar.  A CrossFit certification as mentioned earlier is a weekend seminar.  Most personal training certifications are weekend courses.  Pay the fee, pass the test, and bam you’re a ‘trainer.’

No matter what our coaches experience is, they must complete our internship training program.  It can last anywhere from 3-6 months in length and is education directly in our methods of training.  As mentioned earlier, my education is through 8 years of university training with a Master’s degree as well as national boards and national tests that I have sat for and passed.  Our education is some of the best in the city, and we are the ONLY studio in the city that is that rigorous about our training of our coaches.  We are also constantly focused on continued education and pay $500 a year per full time coach for them to continually hone and improve their skills in course work we feel will provide the best results for our clientele.

To answer the question, our standards of coaches education will not decrease, and will actually increase moving forward as we branch our coaching staff towards additional educational opportunities.

Will the pricing change?

Currently we are striving to provide more and more service offerings for you with zero expectation of price increases.  Our prices have not increased in over 2 years and we don’t foresee that changing in the near future.  Your contracts will not change, but your experience will get better and better.

As a side note, we are one of the few gyms in the city that employ full time coaches.  We provide salaried positions, and benefits in order to hire professionals who are dedicated to taking care of our clientele.  If you don’t know, this is a rarity in the fitness industry.  Most gyms hire part time staff only and hire them as general contractors which results in coaches that can be disgenaged and not really vested in the long term success of the clients.  Our staff and coaches are dedicated to your results and committed to providing excellence in our services.

Will the schedule change?

Currently we are not looking at making any major scheduling changes.  We are however looking to add different types of classes outside of the regular group classes we currently have available.

Why the Rebrand?

I think I addressed most of that in the previous comentary, but to recap…

Our goal is to provide an exceptional experience for our clientele- from results, to classes, to coaching, to any other health need that may arise.

We have been working to differentiate ourselves from the rest of the CrossFit world since we opened.  We have been working hard for 18 years on our programming and feel that what we have to offer far exceeds any CrossFit gym in the country.  Ultimately, our goal is to have a name synonmous with exceptional quality, amazing community, and phenomanal results.  Which is why we decided to create our own name of LivLimitless.  We believe that our program is truly special, and is doing tremendous work in helping peope break through their percieved limitations, and we are excited to see where it goes over the next 18 years.
