23 Hours a Day Revisited 2013?. CrossFit in Memphis

Originally posted on: April 7th, 2011

In my church class today our pastor said something that really resonated with me.  Of course he wasn’t speaking in the context of exercise, but it does translate well into what we do everyday.  I’m paraphrasing, but the premise behind the conversation was that the clock has no favorites.

Every person is given the same amount of hours everyday.  What you do in those hours is what separates us all.  There is much wisdom in those statements.  Just stop and think about it for a second. When you are walking around tomorrow, look at the people around you, they make choices everyday the same as you.  In our context, what choices will you make today to support what you are doing in the gym?  We see you guys and gals at CFB at the most 1 hour in a day, and we are expected to fix all your fitness problems!

There are 23 hours a day for you to screw up what we do.  Be aware of what you are doing outside the gym, and make what you do outside the gym support what you do in the gym!  You work too hard to not support that work.  What will you do today to support your hard work inside the gym?
