6-8-17… Every Day Matters….

Many of us look at long term goals like they are far away.

Successful people look at long term goals and then reverse engineer how to get there. For example, if you want to lose 6 inches around your waist in 6 months then what do you need to do to get there? Well you’ll need to lose 1 inch a month on average.  What will you need to do to accomplish that?

For starters we need to focus on behaviors that will lead to the desired outcome.

Exercise and nutrition are the main ones.

So commit to this week working out 3-4 days a week and walking for two other days.  That’s 5 days a week of some sort of activity and 2 days rest.

That’s pretty doable.

Then work on your nutrition.

What are the behaviors that you could work on there?

Commit to eating 3 meals a day 6 days a week, and take a break on Sunday.

Not too hard right?

Eat low carbohydrate at least 3 days a week and eat more vegetables on those days.

Not too difficult of a behavior.

Then measure at the end of a week and check your progress.

Did you drop 1/4 inch this week?

If so, great stay the course, if not tweak and continue to improve.

This is how to be successful.

Every day counts, but you have to plan your days.  Set yourself up for success everyday.  Plan it out, plan out your weeks, then plan out your rest days, and you’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish.
