Barbell Classes This Week

The barbell classes have been going awesome!  If you haven’t been to one yet, I highly recommend it.  Our staff is doing an amazing job putting on an entire curriculum to help benefit you in the lift for the day.

You still get a workout, so don’t feel like you’re not going to get a WOD in.  We will also go over mobility specific to that lift, and make sure your lift is money so we can get you checked off.

This week we are focusing on going overhead and engaging the hips!

This week’s barbell schedule is:

Monday: Push Press

Wednesday: Push Jerk

Friday: Split Jerk

If you struggle with any of these lifts, I want to encourage to come to this class it will be worth your while!  See you there!

9/15/2014 WOD

Strength:

Tall Clean and Jerk

 Met Con:

500m row

Box Jumps x 10

5 rounds

5 minutes to complete the work before you start the next round.

Clock runs from 0-5mins then round 2 starts from 5-10mins then round 3 starts etc.

This is a sprint and rest workout, go as hard as you can on the rower and the box jumps, then use the remainder of the time to rest.

Strength:

DB Clean & DB OHP/PP/Push Jerk

4 x 5 (adjust weight as needed)

Met Con:

500m row

Box Jumps x 10

3 rounds

5 minutes to complete the work before you start the next round.

Clock runs from 0-5mins then round 2 starts from 5-10mins then round 3 starts etc.
