Focusing On The Wildly Important….

I’m reading a book right now called the 4 Disciplines of Execution.  It’s a book about executing at a high level.

The very first principle they talk about is focusing on the what they call the wildly important.  In the fitness journey we can get caught up on all the minutia of what it takes to get us our goals.  We focus and stress about training, then we focus and stress about what to eat, then we focus on you name it…..

One of the best things you can do for you is figure out what the wildly important thing is for you.  You may have your nutrition dialed in.  If that’s the case, then focus on upping your training and make that a priority.

You may have your training dialed in, and if that’s the case, then focus on your nutrition.  You may be trying to focus on your nutrition and get overwhelmed with what the wildly important thing to focus on there is….

Again it’s about what you have accomplished and what is that one thing for you.  Maybe you’ve got the no grain thing kicked and your weakness is artificial sweeteners.  Maybe you have no problem with sweeteners, but you have to have your bread on the daily.

These things are very individualized, but it’s important that wherever you are at, pick one thing that is going to be wildly important for you and focus on that.  Maintain everything else.  When you do that, then you will become much more successful faster.  Once you’ve mastered that one thing move on to the next.

What’s your one thing that is wildly important for you?  If you’ve got one hit up the comments. If you need help figuring it out, talk to a coach we can ‘coach’ you in the right direction.
