Joint Range Of Motion and Mobility….

Do your joints have healthy ranges of motion?  What does that mean?  It means, does your joint move in the groove it’s supposed to move in?  When we do stretches are they extremely painful and difficult or do they feel good like they are prepping the joint for movement?

These are important questions to ask.  As an expert in joint mobility, assessment and rehabilitation of injuries, I see limited ranges of motion all the time.  We do a stretch and I see people doing it halfway, and not spending any time on mobility.  Spending time on making sure your joints move correctly is critically important in human performance.  If you struggle with this, I’d spend some time with your primary coach doing a skill session on mobility.  This can greatly reduce your risk of injuries in the future.
