Jump Rope Everyday

Kids are naturals at jumping rope?most may think, however, this is a skill that may be being overlooked. With a reduction in recesses in schools over the years (where most of us learned to jump) jumping rope is becoming a lost skill. At CrossFit Kids Bartlett, our kids jump rope and they jump rope a lot! Jumping is great for cardiovascular health in children, as well as adults, but have you thought about what it teaches beyond just jumping rope for the heart? Jumping rope also teaches endurance, stamina, power, speed, accuracy, balance, and coordination?eight out of the ten physical general physical skills Coach Greg Glassman, creator of CrossFit, suggests each one of us, including kids, strive for to attain optimal physical competence.
