Letting Go

When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.

– Lao Tzu

What exactly does that mean?  I love this quote.  It talks about being stuck in the past.  What you are now is based off of what you have done in the past.  If you hold onto that and refuse to embrace change, it is incredibly difficult to reach your full potential.  Do you find yourself focusing on what you are comfortable with?  Do you ever push out of your comfort zone?

It’s not easy to let go of where you are comfortable.  CrossFit is all about pushing you out of your comfort zone.  We are here to guide you but also to push you.  We want you to progress and to do that you must let go of certain held beliefs.  You must embrace change.  You must push forward.  You must push out of your comfort zone.

If the caterpillar held onto what he was comfortable with, he’d never become a butterfly.  Are you stuck as a caterpillar?  Can you let go?  What can you become?
