Motivation

‘People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.’

– Zig Ziglar

Do you struggle with motivation?  Sure we all do.  We all say we want something, but when the time comes to do it, many times we talk ourselves out of it.  This morning I was going to get up and go for a fasted walk before I came into work.  When the clock went off, I talked myself out of it.  ‘It’s cold.  I’m tired.  I can do it later.  Blah blah blah.’  All of this went through my head while I was resetting the alarm.  Sure that sleep sounded better at the time, but now that I’ve missed my opportunity, I wish I would’ve gotten up.  You see even coaches struggle with motivation.  It’s a muscle that needs to be flexed daily, and it usually functions better with accountability.

One of the great things about our program is the accountability.  If you miss class we reach out to you.  If you make friends in class, they reach out to you.  It’s a cycle of continuous accountability.  Many times the hardest thing to do is get moving and on your way.  If you can overcome that hurdle then you will feel much better once the activity is over with.  Find things that motivate you to get moving up and out of bed.  I promise you won’t regret it.
