Every now and then, it’s okay to splurge on sweets with your kids. These Thanksgiving turkey cookies are a blast to make with little helpers in the kitchen, and they taste great too. Make a batch during Thanksgiving week, and enjoy!
1 roll refrigerated sugar cookies
1 container chocolate frosting
Orange decorating icing
Black decorating gel
Miniature candy-coated chocolate baking bits
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Bake cookies as directed. Cool completely (about 20 minutes).
- Spoon chocolate frosting into resealable plastic bag; seal bag. Cut a small hole in the corner of the bag. On each cookie, pipe frosting on outer edge of half of cookie. Arrange candy corn over frosting as feathers.
- Pipe orange icing onto each cookie to resemble turkey face and feet. Use orange icing to attach baking bits to turkey face for eyes. Pipe black gel on baking bits for center of eyes.
