Tuesday Michelle leaves to compete at the CrossFit Games. ?For those of you that don’t know, this is a world wide competition to see who is the Fittest Person On Earth. ?Last year she finished 10th in the world. ?This year she stands poised to do even better. ?While we have no idea what the events are going to consist of there are a few things that I do know…..
I have worked in high caliber athletics for quite some time, including three different NCAA Division 1 schools (various teams at the University of Florida, Texas A & M Football team, and The University of Oklahoma football teams). ?Needless to say, I have met and worked with quite a few athletes who are competing at professional levels.
All that being said, Michelle is one of the finest athletes I have ever had the privilege of working with. ?She works hard every single day. ?She attacks athletic endeavors both inside the gym and in competitions with an unrivaled tenacity, that is a force to be reckoned with. ?While many people would crumble at the sheer volume of work that she has had to endure, she excelled in it, always living up to the task and going above and beyond what was asked of her. ?To top it all of, she is one of the most humble people I know. ?She honestly doesn’t realize just how good she is. ?The scariest thing of all is that she can and will become even better.
If you see Michelle Monday wish her well. ?We are very proud of her.

I expect nothing but greatness from you for years to come. You have been sharpened, and honed like a fine steel blade. ?You are ready, and?are truly great in every sense of the word, and you will excel this weekend.
Although I am obviously and extremely excited about the upcoming birth of my son, Noah, I am truly heart broken that I will not be able to watch the competition in person. ?I will miss putting you in an ice batch, taking you to get coffee, stretching you, taping your blisters, and feeding you sweet potatoes etc. ?I know you will be in good hands.
Words can not describe how proud I am of you and your accomplishments thus far. ?You are my best friend, and I love you. ?Hold your head up, walk with some swagger because you earned it! ?Get to L.A. and do what you do. ?In then end we will see you on the podium.
