What’s Your Mindset

Do you have a growth mindset or a fixed mindset?  Do you belief intelligence is fixed or can people learn?  Most people run with a dichotomy of emotions.  They say they believe that people can learn, but then they walk through life afraid that someone will think they are stupid.  If you are afraid to act because you think someone will think you are stupid, that is operating from a fixed mindset.  The truth is, if you aren’t afraid of looking stupid, you will realize that you CAN and WILL make mistakes, and those mistakes are part of learning.  When you embrace that, it will unlock all kinds of doors for you.

How does this relate to CrossFit?  Ever skip a snatch day because you didn’t know how to do it, and were afraid of messing up?  That’s a fixed mindset.  We know you will make mistakes….. it’s ok.  Let’s change our mindset and see what kind of human potential we can unlock.
