Where You’ve Been….

We can not know where you’re going if we don’t know where you’ve been.  Our entire program and your success and progress hinges on knowing what you’ve done in the past and building upon that in every class. It’s called progression.  Every time we lift, or do a workout, you should be doing more then what you’ve done in the past.

I’ve noticed a terrible habit lately of people not knowing what they’ve done in the past.  If you have no idea what you’ve done in the past then we can not build on what you’re doing now.  If you’re not building on what you’re doing now, then you will stop progressing.  If you’re not building and progressing then why the hell are you here?

I’m not trying to sound course here, but in all seriousness everyone who comes to us has some sort of goal to get better in their physical abilities, look better naked, whatever it is, you’ve got goals.  We can’t progress you towards your goals if you’re not building on what you’ve already done.

The easiest thing for you to do is write it down.  It’s not difficult.  It takes 2 seconds.  We have a shelf in the gym that you can leave your book there so you always have it.  Write your stuff down.  It’s critical for your progress and for you to reach your goals.

If you don’t want to write it down, enter it in your phone, just do something so if I ask you what your maxes are, or what you’ve done before you know.

Otherwise, you’re just guessing and just guessing may get you results, or you may just stay where you’re at. It’s your call.
